The tailbone also called the coccyx is a triangular bone present in the base of the spine. Tail bone pain or Coccydynia is a shooting pain in the lower spine that may aggravate due to longer sitting hours, and repetitive strain on the bone.

- Discomfort or pain in sitting and defecation
- Difficulty standing from a seated position

Causes of Tail Bone Pain
- Trauma: Falling or direct blows on the tailbone can cause severe injury.
- Childbirth: it can cause injury to the coccyx.
- Prolonged sitting: Working on a hard surface may be stressful to the tailbone.
- Strain on repetition: The acts, involving frequent bending and lifting, can cause aches in the tailbone area.

- Gentle exercise: Gentle exercise may help in strengthening the pelvic muscles.
